She's possibly nasty and anyone who gleefully associates with her AFTER the sh*t she's said and done in the past few years I automatically sideeye. 2
Domination Posted August 24 Posted August 24 Whenever I see these videos, the people committing the most incendiary acts are always seemingly heterosexual white men. Rly makes you think. 2
DAP Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Might be easy for some to forget but people get hurt or killed for protesting and the threat of reprisal is real and severe. This isn't the venue for theatrics unlike a party or a concert or any occasion where the stakes are low. It's fine to be curious and it's fine to be cheeky but anyone serious about activism should be disciplined enough to know there's a time and a place. 1 2
Pop Fan Posted August 25 Posted August 25 (edited) Don't mess with The Swifties. We are literally everywhere. I love our fandom, no one's doing it like us! /j Edited August 25 by Pop Fan 4
dumbsparce Posted August 25 Posted August 25 I'm cringing so hard. Banning all sorts of social media can't come fast enough.
Pop Fan Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Brat Summer is officially over. It's time for the Carpentember.
Archetype Posted August 25 Posted August 25 It was probably a joke but whoever did it is still dumb 1

The Red Scare crowd are those extremely online, alleged """leftist""" types that literally do nothing vaguely progressive and instead espouse Trumpet talking points OT: this is obviously meant to be a protest against Kamala because Kamala is brat (Charli XCX, 2024)? Funny out of context though
JoeAg Posted August 25 Posted August 25 what this is so f*cking weird and feels straight out of south park listen I'm pro-Palestine every SINGLE moment of the week but seriously just thinking about the idea of burning a flag representing a (fantastic) pop album… so baffling to me there's real politically charged music out there to be analyzed, critiqued, reappropriated for new causes, interpreted, and maybe even vilified, but Brat is not that through a political lens, it'd even make more sense to burn a Love + Fear album cover flag at a protest than a f*cking Brat one
JoeAg Posted August 25 Posted August 25 that being said^ I do 100% disapprove of Dasha's bullsh*t, but that feels like a level of niche only hardcore Charli fans know about. hell, I've been a fan for over a decade and I didn't even know Mean Girls was about her or really much about Red Scare until like two weeks ago 1
ICLDXU4HS Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Queen deserves it for aligning herself with that vile Harris. 1 1
toxicgenie Posted August 25 Posted August 25 The protestors have hurt the Palestinian cause more than they've helped it. 1 3

American liberals: "Palestinian activists are just pushing away everyone from their cause. It's hard to support people who just act so cruelly, inconveniencing others with protests." Israeli liberals: "Our beautiful soldiers who commit gang rape on a Palestinian can't be held liable for doing what is needed and justified in our fight against those vermin!" Like the constant pearl-clutching isn't meaningful to anyone paying attention. Edited August 25 by Communion 1

Funny out of context though I didn't want to say it... but that is how some of them are, unfortunately. No plans, just vibes. This is coming from someone who pays taxes and would rather have my tax dollars to fund social programs rather than wars in foreign countries, but it is what it is.
Club classic Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Supporting Kamala was a mistake but I believe she supports Palestine:

Mr.X Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Why the **** would anyone take a Brat flag to a pro-Palestinian protest? Have the themes in the album not clicked at all? Are people this ******* stupid? Im glad it got burned. 'Brat summer' has nothing to do with Palestinian liberation, nor does it have anything to do with progressive politics. AT BEST the whole 'brat' thing is a pro-capitalist project that has now endorced a genocidal maniac cop (Kamala) in her bid to be the most powerful politician in the world. I love the album, but lets not pretend it has anything to do with liberation politics at all 3
Patient Zero Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Fukking idiots. Are they all going to vote for Trump instead so he can speedrun the destruction of Palestine? Cognitive dissonance is hitting these lunatics hard. 2
