I mean if she already mad at the dog ate her passports (something you can easily apply back) then return it is the most rational choice to make. She is indeed vile for this but not everyone is suitable for having a dog in their life.

My god all of this outrage over a daily Mail article. She quite plainly said the passport was the last in king list of issues. The dog couldn't cope with their living arrangement and would get distressed and act out so she rehomed it for it's own sake?

This makes sense. I was wondering why she didn't hand the dog to a known person she could trust, who would properly take care of it. It happens in many families, especially with puppies when the logistics of properly caring for one become too complicated for owners. It looks like the shelter was willingly taking it back to find a proper home for them. Still, she needs to have boundaries and stop oversharing these stories that she knows will make her look awful. She's smart and knows how tabloid works, so I basically think she wanted to make headlines
