Prom queens, national anthem, capitalism, patriotism, sugar daddies, diet mountain diew, references to American brands, places. The lyrical themes of the album explores American ideals like freedom, fame and pursuit of the American dream. Themes of excess (materialism and consumerism), obsession, self-destruction, tragedy and luxury are also in my opinion very American cultural themes. Makes references to Americana figures like Elvis Presley, James Dean and Lolita. The videos feature American flags, suburban landscapes and American politic references. The sound itself is cinematic, very Hollywood-esque. I'd also say her singing style is very influenced by American crooners from the 1940s -1950s. Edited August 23 by Verandi 2 1
