shyboi Posted August 17 Posted August 17 and yall want her to play Britney, she is a victim of in the industry as well 1
Popular Post xokuba Posted August 17 Popular Post Posted August 17 Why is she a victim? I don't get it... Yes Euphoria is pretty much crazy with drug use, sex scenes and all of the BTS escapades, but she was offered a coordinator on a project/show and basically said she doesn't need one, she knows how to act and how to behave. Seems like she's pretty much in control and down to the ground. 19 1
Uncatena Posted August 17 Posted August 17 I might be completely misreading this but the way she said it... idk it makes me feel like she is used to uncomfortable and intimate. its an open secret that the set for Euphoria is a nightmare.
BOOMBAYAH Posted August 17 Posted August 17 (edited) People often project a sense of sexual victimhood onto her, but to me, she just seems comfortable with her sexuality and body. Even on her personal Instagram, she frequently flaunts her body and recently even made a joke about it. I think in a post-MeToo world, people are understandably hypersensitive to these issues, but sometimes actors genuinely are okay with being nude and sexual on screen. It's interesting because this 'victim' narrative is rarely imposed on male actors who show their d*ck and ass in multiple projects. It seems that only women are seen as helpless wallflowers with no sexual agency. Edited August 17 by BOOMBAYAH 6 2

She gave one interview where she mentioned being asked to be shirtless in a scene. She expressed to the director that she didn't think it was necessary, and the director supported her decision. The interview was twisted by fans online to make it seem like Sam was forcing her. Quote "You have me, you have Z, you have all of these very strong-minded, independent women. If we didn't feel comfortable with something, or we saw something we didn't like, we'd all speak up," she said. Quote "It's hard to see someone completely trashed by the public and the media when no one's actually there. We are there, and clearly we're still working on the show, and we're still supportive." Quote Sweeney added of Euphoria: "The point is making people uncomfortable, and thinking outside the box. What else is the point of art?" Sweeney says. "For me, I feel so free and confident now. And I've found that through Cassie." Quote She said: "There are moments where Cassie was supposed to be shirtless and I would tell Sam, 'I don't really think that's necessary here.' He was like, 'Okay, we don't need it.' I've never felt like Sam has pushed it on me or was trying to get a nude scene into an HBO show. When I didn't want to do it, he didn't make me." Cesar Posted August 17 Posted August 17 the way she said "Bowen, I'm on eurphoria" definitely means she's confident and has the experience, so theres no need to worry about her. you guys are looking too much into it 2
X~MoviePoP Posted August 17 Posted August 17 Yall reading too much into this. Sydney definitely knows how to speak up for herself and plays into her sex vixen status..shes not a child. 1
Taylor fanboy Posted August 17 Posted August 17 It's giving Sharon Stone energy, confident then until she finally realized years later. Poor Sydney!
