JBJT2786 Posted August 17 Posted August 17 And they're still going til November. 1 billion confirmed. Though 177 dates is alot. Hopefully they take a break after this cuz touring for two years long must be exhausting.

On the other hand, their schedule is much healthier than Taylor's for example, between February and June there were little to no gigs.

They're used to 100+ shows each time, but demand was too extreme now. 1
shimind Posted August 17 Posted August 17 that's it? it seems like they have been touring for years now while taylor did 2 billion with just a couple of shows 1 2 2

It's not big of difference in show numbers but Taylor packed her dates into a much shorter amount of time likely because her tour employs a lot more people making their base running costs more expensive. Taylor took 60 dates to gross about a billion. Coldplay numbers are super impressive. The next highest grossing tour after Coldplay and Taylor was Elton's 936 million with 330 shows over five years 8 2

PYT Posted August 17 Posted August 17 Impressive! They started in 2000 and still doing amazing. They're really good live tho so no wonder they're still doing well in touring! 2
MP3 Posted August 19 Posted August 19 I really think this tour is the biggest one in recent history, it might not beat the Eras Tour numbers but it's only because they don't have crazy expensive tickets, the average prices are way more reasonable and respectful to fans They do 4 to 10 shows in a single city attracting each time between 200K to 600K, that's crazy and not really seen before 2
