If this was a LionGate or A24 release, they would push this to 100m with this great WOM,

Anyway the film is a certified cult classic, it the type of movie that will spark conversation and will stay with you.

MUBI paid 11 million for it I believe, and even with advertising costs, this is making a big plus now which is INCREDIBLE

This was the best horror movie released in a while and potentially the best movie released this year. My main question is

Spoiler

how did both Sue and Elizabeth become alive at the end? Also, if Elizabeth wasn't living through Sue, then what was the point of her continuing with the experience if it made her miserable?

Maybe someone else can explain it better but remember: They are one. Elizabeth is Sue so when Sue is living, Elizabeth is living. Part of the point probably is that being young and hot and successful will still make you miserable if other parts of you are neglected. Elizabeth has no benefit from Sue living because that would mean the whole idea of the Substance would work.

So was

Was Elizabeth conscious the entire time Sue was up? And vice versa? So Elizabeth was just laying down in that dark hidden room in the bathroom?
