Wanting them to do more K-pop for an already Korean-backed group is actually being less global. Then complaining about wanting success in the US. Face it. What they mean by global is Korea and the US lol Edited September 6 by Exodus

What they mean by global is Korea and the US lol No, itʻs not a contradiction at all. Korea is one stop on this trip.....theyʻre also going to the Phillipines (their biggest market) and Japan. It was also in response to a few comments complaining about not doing US promo (which theyʻve already done). 1

XXI. Posted September 11 Posted September 11 I have so many thoughts about KATSEYE. Hopefully, this is the place to discuss it... I had first heard 'Touch' on Spotify, and loved the song. I love girl groups, so I was super excited to see a new group I had never heard of on NMF. However, I didn't realize that this group was 2 years in the making until I accidentally came across the Netflix documentary. The way in which this group was manufactured was insane. I didn't realize these types of development camps were a norm for k-pop groups - it was SO fascinating to watch. On the flip side, these girls went through a lot both mentally and physically. I'm interested to see if what they went through is actually sustainable... They were pitted and rated against one another for so long. I feel like there always has to be this looming idea of your bandmates being your competition - even after making it into the group (similar to Fifth Harmony). KATSEYE as an idea is really interesting, but at times I don't fully understand the execution. The imagery... the style choices... I thought the idea was to make a global girl group... not to take girls from all over the world, and simply k-popify them. They all are so different, yet their music and visuals are so non-representative of that. Nevertheless, I love 'Touch,' 'Debut,' and 'Girls Don't Like' (even though that one is technically not their song). I'm really excited and hopeful that the group continues to find success. I was the biggest fan of Megan and Sophia throughout the documentary - especially Megan's transformation. It was really fun to watch. 3 1
Velvet Posted September 11 Posted September 11 (edited) Absolutely love them and I'm happy about the success they're starting to get, I've been here since the Dream Academy was announced. They def need better music tho... Touch is great but they really need to go all out with their debut album Hybe should also let them be much more hands on with their music, you can tell most if not all of them would not listen to the music they made in the EP Edited September 11 by Velvet 1
