KATSEYE - 'SIS (Soft is Strong)'

This group has been all over my TikTok page out of nowhere. I like their vibes and the two songs I've seen circulating. Feel like they could be something in the US if they go viral.

Can they break out in the US/Western world? Because their image and sound is giving very much K-pop/k-pop adjacent.

I honestly love them. the Netflix series was amazing, and we saw so many incredible talents who didn't get a chance to debut.

I wish they had released NBDY NBDY.

Leave her alone. You're just picking on the one girl who outshines.

Touch is a 10/10 bop but the rest of this EP... :deadbanana4:

Tonight I Might is cute but My Way is bad generic teen pop and I'm Pretty is cringe and lowkey unlistenable :skull: it's their debut EP though so they still have potential to serve something great. The Netflix show got me invested in them lol so I will definitely be checking out their next comeback!

The doc was so good, K-Pop fans really need to use some critical thinking skills.

Also, we need the Dirty Water OT6 version :jonny:

I'm glad they released the song for DA, but to be honest, it has so much potential that it seems a shame to leave it as it is.

I think they will need a more rhythmic song to take off in the US. Maybe with a rapper feat too. Touch has potential imo if it's promoted more

And what makes you think they aren't streaming? Because most of the streams are from Asian countries? Most of her fans are probably Asian… not just because she's black

not sure what does race has anything to do with it? tho nothing wrong with having your own people supporting you like how Sophia has filipinos/southeast asians, Dani with latinos etc. I'm mostly talking some of her stans who are loud online ( not specific to one race but this applies to all ) yet nowhere to be found on supporting the group she's in  :matty:

And that's why I'm asking you what makes you think her fans aren't streaming or supporting her? Katseye is still very much k-pop/k-pop adjacent and she's the most popular member. So, If 2+2=4 then….

they are trained under a Kpop company, it's part of their brand.

Exactly she's the most popular member but people rather would like to see her as solo than to be in a group. It's a personal observation, nothing  against Manon :coffee2:

So I'm still waiting for you to answer why you assume the fans aren't streaming or supporting? :lakitu:

I really like them and their tyle but they do feel like a COMPLETE and utter rip-off of New Jeans. It feels like they are the Mandy Moore to a Britney Spears.
