Do they retire that young in that world? :suburban:

Most athletes in swimming and gymnastics retire by 30. Those sports take a toll on your body after a while.

OT: What a successful career. Now time for more Drag Race judging, celeb reality shows and off documentaries in his future.

Most athletes retire young, it's unsustainable for the body long run. He'll still most likely dive, just not competitvely like before.

He has participated in 5 (!) Olympics, that's an incredible run for any athlete, but especially for divers. :clap3:

He started his Olympic career at age 10? :deadbanana2:

He was 14 in his first Olympics in Beijing (2008).

To think he was only 14 on his first Olympics is crazy

He was 14 at his first Olympics in 2008, but he has participated in competitions since he was 8 years old.

He deserves it, he's extremely talented and has been through so much (especially as one of the most open and visible out Olympians).  Congrats and get money doing brand deals :clap3:

He's only 30?! Why do I feel like he has been around forever? Like I seriously remember him from the year 2006. Or am I tripping?

BTW, I wonder if he's going to be pull a Dustin on Dustin and leave him for a younger guy in a couple of years.
