Virgos Groove Posted August 8 Posted August 8 (edited) Despicable man, but I've always thought this is one of the most interesting periods of American history. Also, what he did would've counted as an "official act" nowadays. Edited August 8 by Virgos Groove 1
ClashAndBurn Posted August 8 Posted August 8 Even without the "official act" ruling, this would be a nothingburger in today's politics where officials have come out completely unscathed from much more damaging scandals.

No because you're absolutely right. Resigning if you did something bad or messed up on the job was just the expectation back then. Now you can spew the most vile opinions and massively **** up and you don't even have to apologise
princedonte Posted August 8 Posted August 8 On my birthday. He's the only one who has ever resigned but loads others should have had the same fate. He would have gotten away with it today though.

Imagine the threads... "Did Stevie END Nixon's presidency??" "YHDN ha impact!!" posted all over the news thread "Would YHDN still go #1 if Nixon didn't resign?" And the Civics section would be a kii during that time.
