It has always been illegal in Iraq (not sure what specific countries you heard about), but of course it was still happening in secret, with the rates strongly increasing in past years. I sometimes wonder when the Iraq GP will rise up and says: ENOUGH. When many many many MILLIONS of people turn to the streets, no type of government can survive... but I know that it is dangerous and that a lot of people would die...
