Honestly the reason why so many people end up cheating (not-defensible by the way, its still a trash move) is because people are still so hell-bent on being completely monogamous when they probably shouldn't be due to societal norms. A lot of this could be avoided if people were just more open and honest with their physical needs in relationships.

literally! and I feel like many of us are just not taught how to express our physical needs verbally in a healthy way and on a regular basis. it's so upsetting cause I know that if polyamory wasn't so stigmatized STILL then more people would consider it. it's somehow the opposite situation with my ex boyfriend and I's relationship tbh, cause he couldn't admit to himself that he isn't polyamorous when all of his friends and I are. it's wild. that's how the queer community in denver is in some parts: just a collective mindset. polyamory isn't something anyone should feel pressured to or against having in their life! it's a wholly individual journey, and it shouldn't be a lightning rod of shame. it'd save a lot of grief tbh
