Shinkirou Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Rosalía's verse is weak, which would be a first for her in my book. She usually steals the spotlight from whoever the lead is with her immaculate verses. Everything else is excellent tho.
blondeskinnyrich Posted August 16 Posted August 16 I don't really get it... To me it's not doing anything. It's kinda forgettable, it lacks structure, Lisa is just mumbling through the parts where she's singing in the verses. Overall it's not bad, it's just not for me I guess. 2

Chemist Posted August 16 Posted August 16 The interactions between Lisa and Rosalia in the M/V are amazing I wanted more! This + Guess--> Female Collabs are killing it this year. Good job 5
thatsmydemi Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Loved this. Not really a fan of Rosalia's part when the song goes slow but then it recovers so it's fine.
rhettye Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Rosalia shoulda just rapped in the same beat. the beat drop is unnecessary. but they serving lewks 4 sure
Cain Posted August 16 Posted August 16 I LOVE that she's trying something different, lyrically, visually, with collaborators Maybe it doesn't all work immediately but she's trying to find her own footing as an artist and as someone that's coming from the Kpop factory that's really refreshing to see. Excited to see what else she's going to serve! 3
Flanders Posted August 16 Posted August 16 I like it, but it's not as good as Rockstar imo. Could've been a lot cuntier!
Kayseri Mantisi Posted August 16 Posted August 16 LA ROSALÍA AND LA LISA DID IT AGAIN NO SURPRISES HERE

D.Va Posted August 16 Posted August 16 I HAAAAAAAAATE to say it but Rosalia ruins it, they had no business slowing down the song that hard with that useless beat switch. Otherwise, the song is amazing and the video is INCREDIBLE
mael Posted August 16 Posted August 16 (edited) Okaaaay serving ARTPOP. Lisa actually has a beautiful falsetto register The beat Edited August 16 by mael
Burqa Posted August 16 Posted August 16 this is amazing omfg who wouldve known back then that lisa would be the most invested in her music career booking these great collaborators and serving art

Eóghan Posted August 16 Posted August 16 'rockstar' was kinda cringe and too kpoppy for my taste, no evolution from her, but damn this goes so HARD the slow down part with Rosalia is a bit jarring at first but after a few listens it's a grower and actually elevates the song and the video HOLY ****; video of the year
Chemist Posted August 16 Posted August 16 The slowed down part gives the song edge. I completely understand why they did it, otherwise would be quite a simple/basic pop song. I am pretty sure it was Rosalia's idea 8 1
Hephaestus Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Yeah this is kinda not doing it for me unfortunately and it's mainly because of Rosalia's verse, it's such a jarring switch up it feels like a completely disjointed element in the entirety of the song. Lisa's parts and chorus especially are great and super catchy, production is flawless and MV is very cool (although maybe too literal at times when it closely follows the lyrics), so overall I think Rockstar was a better "package" all things considered. Looove how committed she is to music though, it's really refreshing. There's not a lot of people experimenting like her at the moment and it's only a matter of time until she gets mainstream recognition as a solo artist.
Freakshowvato Posted August 16 Posted August 16 My fav part is Rosalia's actually. The song is fun and upbeat. But a song this chaotic and Kpop esque will not take off easily in the Western world
WeFoundWill Posted August 16 Posted August 16 So if the star indicates 5 singles/visuals do the 12 stars behind her in the MV indicate 12 album tracks?
