Far-right rioting across UK - outnumbered by antifascist counter protests

Far-right rallies and counter-protests took place across several cities in England and in Northern Ireland on Saturday. Groups faced off in Belfast, Bristol, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Nottingham, Hull and Stoke-on-Trent.

Keir Starmer said police have the government's "full support" to take action against "extremists" who attack officers and attempt to "sow hate" as he held talks with ministers over the violence across parts of England. Home secretary Yvette Cooper said she would work with forces to help ensure "consequences, arrests and prosecutions" for those responsible.

Stand Up to Racism organised anti-fascist protests in Liverpool, Manchester, Stoke, Leicester, Nottingham, Leeds, Cardiff, Portsmouth and Bournemouth.

The group has more protests organised against the far-right on Sunday including in Sheffield, Birmingham, Bolton and Weymouth.

Weyman Bennett, co-convenor of Stand Up to Racism, said: "Our protests show that every time fascists take to our streets, we will mobilise against them. People like Tommy Robinson and his supporters want to spread racism, division and Islamophobia. Our protests unite black, white, Muslim, Jewish, LGBT+ people to stand against the far right threat. We have beaten them before and we will beat them again through unity and solidarity."

We are really living in scary times. Fascism is coming back strong, WW3 is looming, and all types of hate are on the rise.

I hope things get better, but I think it'll get much worse before it can get remotely better. Hard times are awaiting us.

Keir Starmers response to this was absolutely horrid. No way he makes it a full term

These protests have gone from focusing on child safety to promoting anti-immigrant and racist agendas. The absence of outrage when Lucy Letby, a white nurse, was exposed for murdering babies highlights this hypocrisy. All these protests are showing is the country's deep-seated racism, selectively targeting immigrants whilst ignoring similar threats from white, far-right groups in the UK.

I hope the people of colour in Britain remain vigilant and supportive of each other, because I fear that things are about to get a whole lot worse :cries:

It's truly like watching wild animals. These people have nothing going on in that empty skull. You can even see children among those feral bigots, like...

It truly feels like the entire world's rot is collectively coming to the surface, all at the same time.

Crazy how one brown man committing murder apparently taints all brown people, but an old white man being a pedo doesn't taint all white people?

Is this the dance class attack you're referring to?

Yeah, that's what kicked off all these protests

OMG This is insane :chick3: Is the UK in a state of emergency?

Insanity

Hopefully things will die down once the weekend is over… though I highly doubt these are people with jobs to go to once Monday comes. If it continues into next week, they need to send the army. This is too ridiculous to continue and I don't see how the police are supposed to control and deal with this themselves when it is becoming a daily occurrence across the entire country.

Its so easy to arrest these people now with all the videos uploaded and the building's own security cameras. Say what you will about Jan. 6, it wasn't perfectly resolved, but the feds managed to capture thousands of criminals and filed into the database of uglees and taint their families and relatives and have it stay there for the rest of their lives.

Not defending these people in the slightest, but the funding for far right agitators like Tommy Robinson, is coming from the United States.

Why are US 'pro-Israel' groups boosting a far-right, anti-Muslim UK extremist?

Of course Tommy Robinson isn't his real name, but it sounds more working class than Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon.

Disgusting.

It's being reported that they tried to light a hotel that is housing asylum seekers on fire. That's attempted mass murder.
