PoisonedIvy Posted August 1 Posted August 1 (edited) I was a child when both came out, but I've loved ITZ for like a decade now. I only recently heard Fever in full but I notice the albums share a ton of sonic similarities. Any insight there? I might just be out of the loop but I'm curious if there's any connection The production and the vocal delivery on this song alone are pretty identical to Britney's sound at the time (Breathe on Me, Touch of My Hand, etc) This one reminds me of Showdown a little bit. Something else I can't put my finger on though Edited August 1 by PoisonedIvy 2 9 1
Jay07 Posted August 1 Posted August 1 (edited) Fever is very 80s new wave synthpop while In the Zone really isn't, apart from a couple of songs like Breathe on Me and Touch of My Hand. This is going to be a no from me. Edited August 1 by Jay07 10 1
Gorjesspazze9 Posted August 1 Posted August 1 I don't hear any similarities. Fever the song still sounds fresh today tho 1
Virgos Groove Posted August 1 Posted August 1 A few songs on ITZ were tapping into that early-00s sleek pop sound (BOM, TOMH, Toxic), which was Fever's whole thing. But I don't think they're similar albums. 1
katysuxx Posted August 2 Posted August 2 No, but I've discovered that 'Fever' by Dua Lipa is as addictive as Kylie's! 2
Loca Posted August 2 Posted August 2 (edited) Maybe it's the sound of quality that's confusing you. Might just be something you don't usually experience Edited August 2 by Loca 1
If I'm Dancing Posted August 2 Posted August 2 I feel like Body Language and ITZ share more similarities than Fever 2
Popboi. Posted August 2 Posted August 2 They sound nothing alike, ESPECIALLY Fragile 1 hour ago, Loca said: Maybe it's the sound of quality that's confusing you. Might just be something you don't usually experience You really thought you ate that, Loca. 1

Body Language and In The Zone are same era (both released November 2023) Fever was released October 2001 and In The Zone recording started only in November 2022 Fever is the same era as Britney album (both released October 2021)
