Why do Fever and In the Zone sound so similar?

I was a child when both came out, but I've loved ITZ for like a decade now. I only recently heard Fever in full but I notice the albums share a ton of sonic similarities. Any insight there? I might just be out of the loop but I'm curious if there's any connection

The production and the vocal delivery on this song alone are pretty identical to Britney's sound at the time (Breathe on Me, Touch of My Hand, etc)

This one reminds me of Showdown a little bit. Something else I can't put my finger on though

Fever is very 80s new wave synthpop while In the Zone really isn't, apart from a couple of songs like Breathe on Me and Touch of My Hand. This is going to be a no from me.

A few songs on ITZ were tapping into that early-00s sleek pop sound (BOM, TOMH, Toxic), which was Fever's whole thing. But I don't think they're similar albums.

No, but I've discovered that 'Fever' by Dua Lipa is as addictive as Kylie's!

Maybe it's the sound of quality that's confusing you. Might just be something you don't usually experience

They are not even same era. Body Language and In The Zone are same era (both released November 2023)

Fever was released October 2001 and In The Zone recording started only in November 2022

Fever is the same era as Britney album (both released October 2021)
