And Katy Perry is a MOM. Maybe she wanted to spend more time with her daughter in her younger years and just take it easy by occasionally doing music. She's rich enough to never have to lift a finger in her life again anyways.

Anyway, good for her. They blew a lot of money on Katy, so hopefully they saved some money by replacing her with Carrie.

Carrie has had massive success since winning the show. Getting an alumni on isn't a bad move at all. Guessing they couldn't get an original judge back. Justin Bieber would probably bail on half the episodes anyways so there's no loss there. Miley had a stint on the voice and probably has better things to do.
