Deadline understands that Carrie Underwood has replaced the "I Kissed A Gir"l star on the judging panel. Underwood, of course, rose to fame for winning the fourth season of the ABC show. She is expected to sit alongside Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan on the panel for Season 25.

Carrie underwood needs this she kinda is stuck in a deadend. She needs to get in people's attention span to remind them of her. Her sales are dwindling its a good career move and she will benefit from it. I love her so much her songs are stellar and what a powerhouse of a voice.

I worry what this will mean about new music though. I mean, Katy only released one album since she began working on the show so it seems to be time consuming (she also had a baby in that time but still).

Well, she just extended Reflection into March of 2025, so that allows for a break to film Idol in-between and after.

It's probably because they were able to get her for a discounted price. Shocked they passed on P!nk tho? She seems to be the best option imo. Better than J Bieber or Miley in terms of capturing the middle aged white woman demographic and she is a solid vocalist
