SchmoodRing Posted August 3 Posted August 3 The Billie Eillish edition definitely adds some much needed spark and edge to keep this interesting because the original is essentially an interlude over a loop. After Billie's chorus Charli should've swooped in with hers so it could be a back and forth. The outro should've been the chorus. Then the final chorus with them going back and forth and using the "bridge" as an outro
SchmoodRing Posted August 3 Posted August 3 How you have a feature and it's still short like this is wild to me
Disconnect Posted August 3 Posted August 3 OMG, how iconic is it that, my underrated queen that I've been following since 2012 and it's always been in my signature is smashing so hard! I know she had her moment in 2014 but tbh she didn't have the acclaim and the impact/respect just wasn't the same. 3

305 Posted August 3 Posted August 3 An explicit, crazy, and electronic heavy song doing this well is so insane I truly feel that Charli is changing the landscape of this type of music in the US for the better 9

Cain Posted August 3 Posted August 3 Guess the SMASH that you are it was Top 3 on the album for my but I never thought it would appeal to the GP
illia Posted August 3 Posted August 3 After Lorde and Billie I wonder if there are gonna be any more surprises with big names on the remix album I saw some rumors about Chappell Roan already

I forget the source rn but IIRC Lorde didn't hear her song until everyone else did. Impressive how almost nothing has leaked at all??? She must have picked a baller new password. 3

"I had to go through the process of telling her that this song is about her and her being OK with that first," Charli explains. "I was trying to meet up with her for almost a year, and we kept having this weird, like, we were [going to], then we wouldn't. It spoke to the narrative of the song itself. In the end, it didn't work out. Then the day before the record came out, I left her a voice note. [Lorde] replied straight away and was like, 'Oh, my God, I had no idea you felt this way. I'm so sorry.' And then was like, 'You know, maybe I should be on a version of the song.' I didn't even ask her. She brought it up. "So much of this rollout was planned, but sometimes it was not," she continues. "Lorde's remix of 'Girl, so confusing' is a perfect example. That wasn't planned. It took three days total."
