I still do not understand how an EP that has How We Roll, BRB and Low key has Winning etc. Clearly she can still do quality songs.

She always does weird releases though. How are you going to release Level Up and then follow up with Dose :chick2:

Idk about extreme. Victoria's album debuted at #60 and fell off the next week…

Anyway, I'm glad this didn't get a real push but this was pointless.

solo version is out now

While I appreciate her giving us a solo version, it kinda needs the feature. or at least a new sung verse from her to open the song

Im tired of here putting out songs that will be forgotten within the next month

The weird part her K-pop/J-pop collabs were great and shows she can actually deliver quality with proper producers.

Even her rapping on XG's "Left, Right" is done right.

Maybe its her choice of producers/songwriters, I noticed she works with the same damn people.

She needs to work with people that understand her sonically and what the GP wants (not her yes man fans).

It's been 10 years she STILL doesn't get it, and Idk atp if she ever will, tbh

And this brings to my point… With the right writers and producers Ciara can soar. But she can't seem to differentiate the difference between a fast food song and good quality music…

Regardless I still doubt this is a lead single. One thing with Ciara is, is that she actually still gets support from Urban Radio so would be weird not to send this.

She doesn't have the hype to be just throwing songs out. She needs to regain the GPs interest. Find a plot and stick with it. Being all over the place is just going to get people to not check for her…

I know I complained about this song a while ago .. but I am kinda vibing with it now. The power of Ciara I guess :jonnycat:

I think the biggest issue is they let the rapper open the song which really irritated me

If they had arranged: Ciara's verse + choruse - Rapper verse - Chorus - Bridge + Ending, I feel like it would have been received better among the fans

The issue is.. the song is fine. It's a 6.5/10 - Ciara needs to deliver at least an 8/10.

Even of the three songs she premiered through the tour "Wassup" was far superior to this

Wassup sounds fire but then again I also thought Run It Up sounded great live too. Guess we'll see how it is if she decides to release it.

At least Wassup is more melodic.

Run it up sounds like it was thrown together for the gym - Wassup sounds like an actual song :coffee:

I hope she drops that sound.....I hate when she make  "gym records". She needs to make legit R&B records.
