It doesn't take a genius to see there's polítical motivation behind the constant bashing. Sure, the Seine might be ****-ridden and there might be poor planification involved, but the whole 'L after L' narrative is a product of the conservative campaign that's been running especially after the inauguration (which was beautiful btw). It's sad to see people failing to see that. 2

My first night, my bartender told me to meet him somewhere at 4 am and wrote down an address. It was Le Depot in the Marais. Good times. Lol

I'm not talking about you in particular. I haven't read your post history or whatever. Sorry if it came across that away. What I have read and seen a lot in social media is a lot of hateful posts and comments using any messy aspect of the games to justify attacks towards France and/or inclusivity.
Selegend Posted July 30 Posted July 30 There's a lot of things happening in this Paris Olympics, from Improper river to terrible accommodations that we wouldn't hear the end of it from international media if it was during 2016 Rio for example. 1

I thought so, let's be careful with the wording next time.

It was money thrown down the toilet (literally). Like, yeah, all of that spent into cleaning it but if the whole drainage system goes to that river, and if you don't make businesses and industries to stop throwing their waste water into the river, the result some days after the cleaning was going to be this
Grizzo Posted July 30 Posted July 30 the fact that there was no plan B from the start is just so…. unprofessional
Almighty Gaga Posted July 30 Posted July 30 The Paris Olympics have been one disaster after the other Another L for the toilet of Europe
DAP Posted July 30 Posted July 30 Knew the Olympics were shite based on the fact that the only thing I kept seeing online were tweets of gays reacting to chiseled men like they've never seen a chiseled athlete before. 1

They cleaned the river but they didn't change the stuff that was contaminating the river in the first place

Ewan Chaos Posted July 30 Posted July 30 Ooh my goodness. You smell that ****? That river smelled like straight up ****. It smelled like a toilet full of nasty ass ****, okay?
Daglazzo Posted July 30 Posted July 30 I cannot believe they really thought anyone should swim in seine, this river is full of **** and it literally smells like ****. I used to live in France and I was in Paris several times, each time it was the same feeling. I would never put a finger in this river, not to think of swimming… it's unbelievable
