Burn Posted July 29 Posted July 29 (edited) What the ****. For ATRLers unfamiliar with him, he's one of the most recognisable faces in the UK news who has covered many significant events including royal weddings, the coronation, elections and infamously broke the news of Queen Elizabeth II's death: Edited July 29 by Burn

He deserves what Wendy said. Quote Edwards is a Christian and is a weekly churchgoer. Source If I speak…

Definition from the UK Crown Prosecution Service website: "To make" has been widely interpreted by the courts and can include the following: opening an attachment to an email containing an image downloading an image from a website onto a computer screen storing an image in a directory on a computer accessing a *****graphic website in which indecent images appeared by way of automatic "pop-up" mechanism receiving an image via social media, even if unsolicited and even if part of a group live-streaming images of children https://www.cps.gov.uk/legal-guidance/indecent-and-prohibited-images-children 2 1

So wait... each of these have to do with children? So Category A is content with children and animals? 3 hours ago, Burn said: Definition from the UK Crown Prosecution Service website: "To make" has been widely interpreted by the courts and can include the following: opening an attachment to an email containing an image downloading an image from a website onto a computer screen storing an image in a directory on a computer accessing a *****graphic website in which indecent images appeared by way of automatic "pop-up" mechanism receiving an image via social media, even if unsolicited and even if part of a group live-streaming images of children https://www.cps.gov.uk/legal-guidance/indecent-and-prohibited-images-children These are insane. So basically someone sending you something and you opening it without knowing about it or a website forcing a pop up on you can get you in legal trouble?
Burn Posted July 31 Author Posted July 31 He's pleaded guilty. Quote The category A images - the most serious kind - were mostly of children aged 13 to 15, the court heard. But there were two moving images of a young child, possibly aged between seven and nine years old, according to prosecutors.
The7thStranger Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Disgusting. Moving images of children aged seven and nine... Let's just hope the police gets this one right. After the disaster that was Operation Yewtree, I hope they are actually targeting people who truly are guilty. 1

Why download something you believe to be CP? The fact he then distributed these images via WhatsApp is horrendous. The Beeb claim they didn't know and I think that might true. He received a forty thousand pound rise last year despite being suspended. They continued paying it until he resigned in April so I'm guessing they found out some time around then. How he kept this secret from them the entire time is wild. I'm so disappointed in him, he always bought a sense of humanity to his broadcasts and it turns out he's just another monster from the bbc.

The whole 'I opened them by mistake' doesnt really wash here.
