Space Cowboy Posted July 27 Posted July 27 https://www.abc.es/espana/madrid/libertad-provisional-hombre-agredio-mortalmente-asistente-ultimo-20240726113152-nt.html#_tcode=NGkyZmQ%3D Quote A 42-year-old man passed away last Wednesday after hitting the ground following an assault by another man due to a misunderstanding that occurred after the Karol G concert near the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. The incident happened minutes before one in the morning this Tuesday at the intersection of Padre Damián and Alberto Alcocer streets. After the Colombian artist's concert, a man was apparently making a video call with his girlfriend when four girls behind him started to berate him, thinking he was recording them without their consent. During the altercation, a 33-year-old man with a large tattoo on his arm approached to support the girls and, without saying a word, punched the man with the phone from behind. The man fell to the ground, unfortunately hitting his head hard on the concrete. Following the incident, paramedics from Samur-Civil Protection arrived at the scene and found that the victim had suffered a severe cranioencephalic trauma with left-sided otorrhagia. He was intubated and transported in a hemodynamically stable condition to La Paz hospital, where he was admitted in a very serious condition. He passed away in the Intensive Care Unit around 3:30 PM the following day. 3
Sombre Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Good god. That 33 y/o better get what he deserves. His intentions were good but you don't just march up to someone and punch them without context. 1 1 2
Paddy Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Tbh those girls should get a slap on a wrist, too. If it wasn't for them, if they found out first if he's recording or making a video call, he'd still be alive. Tragic. Also while I understand it must be a nightmare for women to be filmed/photographed all the time, in public places and concerts the "consent" law doesn't apply as by being there you are agreeing to have your photo taken. It would only apply if he was showing his camera under their skirts etc. 1

Minto Posted July 27 Posted July 27 and i'm supposed to believe men are more pragmatic than women….no evaluation of the situation just violence 1
GAGAxMONSTER Posted July 27 Posted July 27 No de-escalation skills and just wanted to be a hero, a common behavior among straight men. Curious though if these dudes are gay/bi since they are at a Karol G concert. 3
Riot Posted July 27 Posted July 27 So that poor woman literally watched her husband being murdered? My god... 4 1
bjorn Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Not what the "33-year-old man with a large tattoo on his arm" expected huh? have fun in prison hopefully that will teach him a lesson maybe he'll get punched in prison and suffer the same fate 1

#Beautiful Posted July 27 Posted July 27 punching strangers in any instance on the street is not ok ever. i hope he rots in jail and then hell 2

thatsmydemi Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Even if he were recording them, why is a random man with no connection to those girls punching a man to the extreme of murdering him? And even if he knew them, there's no need to punch someone like that. He could just call him out before resorting to violence. 2
Pikachoo Posted July 27 Posted July 27 send both the girls and the man to prison. and to be honest I would hold Karol G liable for allowing this sort of environment at her concert. she needs to be held accountable to some capacity as well 1 1
ChooseyLover Posted July 27 Posted July 27 (edited) I know I'm wrong and I'm generalizing and blah blah blah, but sometimes I feel like the world would be a more peaceful place without straight men. There's no justification for being so violent for something like this. Was acting like a "man" really worth the life of an innocent person? Edited July 27 by ChooseyLover 1
Lil' Oz Posted July 27 Posted July 27 A lot of men in Spain are quite violent (obviously the majority is not, but a lot are) they are just looking for fights to express their masculinity. I've been living in Spain for a few months now and I am quite shocked at how "macho" the men here are. Honestly, Spain is not what I was expecting… like at all. if someone's doing something illegal you call the police and let them deal with it. Civilians do not have the right to act as the figure of authority in these types of situations because they always just choose violence over reason. He should rot in jail, but the girls should also be punished. Rip to the victim. 2

How is it any of her fault?
KatyPrismSpirit Posted July 27 Posted July 27 This is why you shouldn't blindly believe everything and first look for evidence before making conclusions. Now a innocent man passed away over lies these ladies told and a man that felt the need to defend them over nothing. Throw that guy in prison, anybody that is this violent shouldn't be allowed in society 1
family.guy123 Posted July 27 Posted July 27 It's not due to a "misunderstanding ". It's due to MURDER. Lock those ******* up too 3
makeme Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Something like this happened to my old sugar daddy. He is a club owner and one of his employees said the roof was leaking. He went up to the vip section and used his phone flash light to look at the roof. Some random straight started punching him in the face bc he thought he was video taping his girlfriend. My SD was in his 60s and the man was in his early 20s Imagine beating up an old gay man for that And no my ex SD didn't even press charges

Hurem Posted July 27 Posted July 27 I wonder how someone can live knowing that they have KILLED someone. Not only that, but they made lives of his family a literal hell. How does one go on with that thought?
Maroonx Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Jesus, thats why you need to use your words and not start hitting people left and right. I hope he rots in prison!!
