Do you eat healthy ? How many time in the year do you eat junk food ?

I try to eat hamburgers and fries/pizza/junk food one time every 6 months but it's hard.

I eat a lot of peppers, inions and eggplant in general, I tend to eat lots of vegetables. What about you ? Everytime I want to eat junkfood I think about the fact that it would increase the risk to have a heart attack and then the desire leave.

When i'm not at home i'll be having Starbucks for breakfast, a chill more decent than fast food but not fine dining restaurant for lunch and then Pizza for dinner.

I guess, I don't strictly watch what I eat cause no matter what it is it isn't enough for me to finally put on some weight that I actually need

Now I'm trying to eat less sodium

I cut out my steak sauce since it's 300 sodium mg per tblspn and I put that **** on everything :skull:

that's what I've been watching more than anything lately too.

reducing my sodium intake has actually made a lot of fast food taste bad too me now, I'm not used to it

Overall, I generally try to a eat a low carb (+sugar), low sodium, high protein diet. I also try to consume healthy fats and avoid the unhealthy ones. The most important thing for me is that I enjoy all the food I consume. Not really missing the junk food.

I eat mostly very healthily. I prep most of my meals for the week ahead of time, mainly out of convenience, but also for health reasons. I try to get a decent mix of fruit and vegetables and I mainly only drink water.

Having said that I do also enjoy baking so am partial to some cake and other sweet stuff a few times a week. It's all about balance I think.

It doesn't and anyone who tries to convince you diet soda is bad for you is sponsored by the sugar industry.

How am I supposed to know that number, in a year???

I try to eat healthy most of the time and drink a lot of water. However the temptation of eating garbage is too much sometimes so I would say 1 time per week

a garbage snack at the end of the day is a must

I used to have a binge eating disorder. I'd restrict for months and get fit then gain it all back the other 6 months because it wasn't sustainable and then I'd restrict on the dailyZ

Something shifted for me recently though. I stopped approaching healthy eating and exercise from a place of vanity and do it now because I want to be active and healthy for as long as possible.

On work days, I typically intermittent fast, having whey protein and creatine in the morning then not eating until I'm home from work. I focus on high-protein foods, getting as much food from the earth as possible and being MINDFUL (not restrictive) of whether the food I'm eating is processed or natural. I've been angry lately about the food industry and the fact they're intentionally poisoning us and making food that is naturally addictive and causes so many diseases and is essentially shortening our life span and making us become dependent on our **** healthcare system. It's all connected and it's all predatory.

I still enjoy processed foods from time to time and feel no shame for it because I know I have control now. Also, once you consume less sugary and processed foods, you will stop craving them as much, trust me. It's actually been crazy to witness how I crave fruits and nuts and healthy meats so much more now instead of chips and donuts.

I don't eat super healthy no :jonny2: and I eat way more junk food than I

should be… as someone who tries to go to the gym at least 4 times a week, i should be eating WAY healthier lol

I've gone through dirty bulking periods where I just kinda go crazy and Eat Eat Eat everything and then I go through chiller periods where I eat two or three regular meals a day at a good pace. I'm starting a new job this coming week (:duca: I've been unemployed for over a year so I'm SUPER perched!) and I'm gonna start eating healthier since I'll finally be able to afford to eat healthier. I'm gonna bring spinach and avocados (my fav veggies) back into my diet, and cut out candy bars almost entirely I think :chick3:

my typical eating routine post-workout (and I typically go late at night too btw):

- 2 42g fairlife protein shakes

- slim jims

- kinder bueno bars

- frozen high protein meal OR

- I'll make a bowl of pasta with chicken and sauce and olive oil

I need more veggies in my life, especially cause of how high my caloric intake has been and how much sugar I've been consuming. I'm gonna actively try to get my healthy habits locked in. my body looks the best it's ever looked, but I think with healthier choices it could look even BETTER :gaycat2:

I've been doing research on diet sodas and regular sodas and it's insane to see how many "studies" are funded by different soda companies to skew "data".

Diet sodas are a much less harmful alternative, apparently, but obviously we all know diet soda isn't healthy. The one thing to consider with diet sodas is the artificial sweetener they use is still sweet enough to cause the same insulin spikes that regular sodas do just by the sweetness hitting the tongue. So I try to not drink soda at night because insulin spikes before bed can cause sleep and weight problems. But ain't nobody gonna shame me for my diet Baja blast cravings

oh also:

I barely EVER drink soda. water is what I drink the most of, then those protein shakes, then every so often I'll have either some sweet tea or some coffee. but I try to steer completely clear of carbonated stuff. the only times I'll drink soda are on vacation every so often. for example, I've been on vacation for the past week and I've had soda twice during parties lol. other than that, I really just stick to water and an occasional alcoholic drink

I've been in the best shape of my life and been taken to hospital because I've eaten junk and it's ****** up my body, thinking I can just dirty bulk and eat anything, definitely cut that sugar back if you can, it's just inflammatory
