I agree about this track tbh but the song we've heard from EG6 Easy To Love Me is amazing and shows her heart is very much still in it

Honestly I wouldn't mind one more Calvin collab as part of a joint ep and then her taking five or so years off to find what she wants to do. The pursuit of pop hits is fine but she was much more inspired as an artist when she was making what she wanted and not just trying to write a pop hit.

Free and not even this track featured Ellie, last year she delivered a good album, maybe the problem isn't her

I like free. I didn't mind HIH, but it was far from her best, fun sure - but it didn't really have a stand out moment like her other albums.

I'm curious what makes you think she's pursuing pop hits atm? We've heard one song from her next album and based on that song it sounds like she is making the music she wants

Because her last record was full of radio friendly leftovers from six years ago, the one before that had the eco queen adding a second disc for radio singles, and the one before that was billed as her big pop album. Outside of that the only collaborations she's pursued in the last two years have been with big charting dance acts. After the success of Halcyon Days her label and career have been driving down the same well trodden path. An artist of Ellie's calibre deserves a little creative freedom - instead of being boxed in and so one trick pony when she's proved consistently time and time again that she's incredibly versatile.

You clearly haven't listened to BB then. last year she also released a collab with a non "big charting dance act".

I literally mentioned the way they had to take the EG.0 on their just so they'd release it for the streams. I also mentioned that that's all she has been doing in terms of collabs so I'm not really sure what your point is unless it's just to echo?
