There is something to be said about knowingly and deliberately trying to damage art and artifacts vs holding up a sign in front of it or closing an exhibit space by protesting.  People who do this do not respect art.

The prison sentences for these activities have been shocking. 4 years + for protesting climate justice is obscene.
