campelo Posted July 25 Posted July 25 the selection is a choice, I believe Beth Gibbons will take this one
HonourableVomit Posted July 25 Posted July 25 I think Last Dinner Party will take it (zzz) but I'm shocked/appalled/disappointed at not nominating PJ Harvey 1
killer_rose Posted July 25 Posted July 25 CMAT better take this. The opening song "California" alone eats up all of your faves. 1
makeawish Posted July 25 Author Posted July 25 i don't like many of the picks here. brat is good (and inevitable), i like TLDP album too but the massive push it's gotten is feeling very payola at this point, nothing else of interest would have liked to see pinkpantheress, baby queen and salute. does feel like a surprise that heaven knows isn't here

makeawish Posted July 25 Author Posted July 25 no live performances this year! bit lame, may as well just stick the winner up on twitter if they're not making any effort https://www.musicweek.com/media/read/mercury-prize-drops-live-performances-and-public-awards-ceremony-for-2024-edition/090180
