perpetual novice Posted July 24 Posted July 24 the both of those countries dont even want that with each other, i dont get this viewpoint. like in a perfect world yeah, but this standing in the middle refusing to move until one candidate promises the impossible is counterintuitive. 6
Sugden Posted July 24 Posted July 24 well good luck with that, it would be nice but we have to come back to the real world for a bit. 4

America remains the biggest external influence in Israel. Demanding that the presidential candidate of the US support a ceasefire before you endorse them shouldn't be frowned upon. And if you know about the history of the current regime of Israel, you would realize it's basically a US/EU enclave. Its current regime is not 1,000 years old. Cher is older than Israel honey. The issue right now isn't even one fought in the name of spirituality. It's imperialism, apartheid, and senseless ethnic cleansing of civilians that must be stopped now. 25
Sugar-Rush Posted July 24 Posted July 24 To be fair I highly doubt that either Trump or Kamala would be able to force a ceasefire, which given Israel's relationship with the US, I don't think they'd want to begin with.

Prior to Zionism, there was no such thing as Israel. Jews, Muslims and Christians all lived in the Holy Land. They were all Palestinians. The "war" only began when Europeans (Jews and non-Jews) decided to colonise the land and construct a Jewish ethnostate. 3 4 1

Yeah neither countries want permanent peace but at this point what's happening in Gaza is not a war, it's an extermination and a genocide. Whatever Hamas has done (and they are evil) does not compare to what Israel has been putting the Palestinian people through (and most of them are not affiliated with Hamas). 3

Horizon Flame Posted July 24 Posted July 24 Why would I care about an endorsement from a woman who admitted to drugging and robbing people? She's not special and she's a wretched human being. 4 3
