The thing is that no song is threatening to overtake it eventually either. Flowers was a contender for like, two weeks. Espresso is a huge hit, but despite the fact that Spotify users have multiplied since AIW came out, it's doing a similar amount of streams than AIW was doing at the period of release.

AIW is doubling Blinding Lights streams. It's currently 928,521,588 streams away from surpassing it. That's with Abel having released multiple times in 2024 and Harry not releasing new music in two years and two months. Today's been a year since his tour ended too. When Harry releases the gap will become even bigger. I think it'll take AIW a year give or take from when Harry releases HS4 to become the most streamed song of all time.

70% of daily streams for catalog song are due to playlisting. It's not like 3.2M people after 3 years in a very stable way every day are searching for as it was on spotify. That's true of course for every song. So from one year to now they can change how the song is placed and it makes half than now, which would be great too-

If that was true for every song, then just playlisting a song would result in that song becoming the biggest song of all time. Don't PMO. Playlistic helps, but AIW is one of the only songs from 2022 to get that many streams.

 

I'm saying that once Harry releases music his catalog will get more streams. And he's currently in Italy with his team, so it's not gonna be that long until he releases music.
