D'Angelo - Me and Those Dreamin' Eyes of Mine
omg love the neo-soul vibes from this song :heart2: i think i prefer this to brown sugar. liked both songs but this has the edge over it. this feels so smooth and the production isn't boring at all. like it keeps having some interesting part. enjoyed it!

2Pac - California Love
idk what to write anymore my heads kinda no thoughts empty. this is not bad but it's also not my faves from the playlist. might be low but not like the lowest yas.

The Smashing Pumpkins - 1979
omg the artwork is pretty cool. idk why this makes me think of gorillaz for some reasons but yea i enjoyed this song and more than the song is the artwork :smitten: literally so stunning.

Radiohead - Karma Police
pretty mid for me. it's not bad but it's not super great so i think probs middle to low placement in my rankings :heart2:

Usher - Nice & Slow

Michael Jackson - Remember the Time

a cute ending to the round at least! i liked the song and it probs brought my mood up a little bit :date2:

a bit of a struggle to get through but i've made it :heart2:

Posted

Tevin Campbell – Can We Talk (Inviting, aching vocals, subtle melodic pace, enjoyable really).

Posted

Mark Morrison – Return of the Mack (Well, this one grabs nearly immediately with its usual, but catchy tempo and rhythm and everything else makes for another enjoyable listening experience).

Posted

Santana, The Product G&B – Maria, Maria (I guess its classic melody pulls it up and smooth, but firm delivery only adds to everything else in a satisfying way).

Posted

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Otherside (Another classic from this era – sounds longer that it is, but packs a punch).

Posted

Aerosmith – I Don't Want to Miss a Thing (Another classic, they are on a roll and one of the better ones so far even though a bit tedious).

Posted

Maxwell – Ascension (Don't Ever Wonder) (I considered some of his songs for this round, so a good choice in start. His voice here sensual and inviting as per usual ascends the mellow production, which is also refined kinda).

Posted

Seal – Crazy (I like how it ebbs and flows even though it is not gripping tightly, but it stays).

Posted

Phil Collins – You'll Be In My Heart (Maybe too mellow for its own good, but not bad).

Posted

Nirvana – Smells Like Teen Spirit (Effective and ever known chorus, but the whole thing doesn't grip me too close).

Posted

R.E.M. – Losing My Religion (Remarkable hit and another artist I also considered for this round).

Posted

Montell Jordan, Wino – This Is How We Do It (Fun and chill mini banger).

Posted

The Roots – What They Do (This one is a captivating chill bop).

Posted

Nas – Halftime (Undeniable and catchy, but kind of lost around here I think).

Posted

The Verve – Bitter Sweet Symphony (Classic sounding and classic as in known it is, alright).

Posted

Aphex Twin – IZ-US (It sounds intriguing and interesting, but I think they have better picks from this era).

Posted

Robbie Williams – Millennium (A hit, but not the one I think it is the most playable).

Posted

Beck – Loser (The song is not a loser, that's for sure).
