Kelp Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Doing everything in one post because ATRL is too horrible sorry Lolo Zouaï - Free Trial: woah this was really cool, liked more than I expected Shygirl - Woe: it was pretty good, the switchup was great Banks - Gimme: honestly not that bad especially considering it's a Banks song and I've never been a fan of hers. It got old kind of quickly though and unfortunately this group is strong Shygirl - Firefly: I liked this song more than the other one tbh Sudan Archives - Freakalizer: This song POPPED live omg, she was absolutely electric. The studio recording does not really capture the energy but it's cute Maeta - Turn Me On: very pleasant and agreeable, I've liked all the stuff I've heard from her, don't have much more to say Yeule - Dazies: ok sorry to switch but once the full album came out I realized this is one of the weaker tracks for me… but I still think the tempo change is really cool and the general aesthetic is nice Laurel - 45 Degrees: it's fine, it's not bad really just a little plain but unfortunately for you I don't really dislike any of these songs :/ Amaria - Beggin': this is definitely her best song, it is still chill and relaxing but has a bit more beat than her other stuff and you could do a slow sensual dance to it :jimin: the production is so sleek and clean and it's a yes for me Danity Kane - Damaged: ok please don't accuse me of starting a bandwagon but this nearly got me eliminated for some reason in ArSC1 :cri: which was crazy because this is one of my favorite pure pop songs of all time. The melody is catchy and instantly memorable, they all sound nice, and the message is also deeply universal and relatable. So another yes from me Flowerovlove - Boys: ok outside of the context of that ASC round this isn't hitting quite as hard but I do really like it tbh and it's just cute. A likable and adorable song. Nao - Bad Blood: Hm I know this is her biggest hit but I definitely prefer other songs by her. It's not bad by any means, I wouldn't skip if it came on, but it does not really evoke too much emotion one way or another

Not Like The Movies Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Hi doing this early for once Lolo Zouaï - Free Trial - Definitely thought it was fun, I liked the beat Shygirl - Woe - Fascinating listen fr. I wasn't sure if I liked it but eventually I started to, it took me on a journey of indifference to dislike then to like. Banks - Gimme - Production wise, this song is insane. Shyfirl - Firefly - It's never a boring listen with her. She always finds ways to keep you interested in switching up the structure of the song. I like that. Sudan Archives - Freakalizer - finally some excellent food, my fav entry so far A song I know and love! Maeta - Turn Me On - ouuuuuuuu this so groovy and she has a really nice voice, I love this! Yeule - Dazies - Well it was definitely interesting to listen to. I was not bored which is a good thing. Laurel - 45 Degrees - It's a song that is cute and listenable. Not a bad thing mhm. Amaria - Beggin' - Yes of course. Loved it in ASC and I love it here again. It's simply a slay and that's that on that. Danity Kane - Damaged - major bop!! I am sorry but this is an undeniable banger, we have no choice but to dance. HOW YA GONNA FIX IT FIX IT FIX IT Flowerovlove - Boys - A queen...we have no choice but to stan. A bop I know and quite like. Nao - Bad Blood - Oh we ending this playlist on a high note. Definitely one of her best songs. Production is infectious and goes well with her voice. The last 4 songs and a few others on this playlist saved this MEH playlist for me.
Not Like The Movies Posted August 16 Posted August 16 My favs from Group A Bree Runway - All Night Aqyila - Bloom Flowerovlove - Breaking News FLO - Fly Girl Raveena - Lose My Focus FLO - Summertime Cashmere Cat - Quit (feat. Ariana Grande) Bree Runway - Damn Daniel 10s across the board 1
DevonRoars Posted August 16 Posted August 16 All Night This was cute, but it felt never ending and the chorus just wasn't exciting enough to be as long as it was. Needs a radio edit or something. When it played again after the playlist ended I enjoyed it more
DevonRoars Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Cornflake Girl This was an interesting listen. Just not… for me.
DevonRoars Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Breaking News Great song. Verse is stronger than the chorus, imo.
DevonRoars Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Fly Girl This didn't need the sample. Disappointing verse by Missy too.
DevonRoars Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Summertime So this girl just samples everything… I like this one a lot more.
DevonRoars Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Black Eyes At least it's different from the rest. More bpm than most. I like it.
DevonRoars Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Quit Production is a little cheap, but I enjoyed this listen.
DevonRoars Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Stranger Surprisingly good. Like.. I really enjoyed this 💀
MusicLoverDude Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Rooting for the Hilary and Damaged senders. Damaged is a bop but I know that it's going to be an uphill battle for safety because I remember sending it in ASC SEVERAL years ago and I almost was eliminated.
smholiv Posted August 16 Posted August 16 group a Bree Runway - All Night cool vibe, love the mix of genres. I'll have this in the middle I think but um good luck Tori Amos - Cornflake Girl I like it!! its nice, has a vibe from a specific time period that I really like. this style of female singer songwriter stuff is great to me, the piano and her delivery are really cool Aqyila - Bloom fun little bop tbh. nothing spectacular but I like it Mannequin ***** - Loud Bark LOVEE!! this is such a cool entry, I wouldn't expect them in a song game, but this is great!! Rock legends, saviours of the genre... Flowerovlove - Breaking News super cute!! has summer/spring meadow indie pop vibes, very nice to listen to FLO - Fly Girl over-hated! it relies a lot on the sample but its catchy and cool Raveena - Lose My Focus I love the strings... this is one of her best songs, I quite like the poppier elements to this album.. the melody is so strong! FLO - Summertime honestly... in terms of Flo songs I prefer Fly Girl, this isn't bad but it being late 90s-core is doing a lot of the heavy lifting Allie X - Black Eye 80s synth wave stuff is not my thing.. I like the spooky elements - her delivery sells it, but it dragged on and yeah Cashmere Cat - Quit (feat. Ariana Grande) not super keen on cashmere cat. this is whatever but it fades into a sea of mid 2010s pop, without me having nostalgia for it Hilary Duff - Stranger not bad, the beat is pretty interesting... I think in another playlist I might have this higher but I liked most of the first chunk of this list so this might get lost.. also it goes on a bit too long Bree Runway - Damn Daniel bop! fun way to end the playlist... I would've sent Gucci
electrahard Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Group A All Night - genuinely love this song. it makes me want to roll my body all around and flick the hair that i dont have Cornflake Girl - wow so this is how Fiona Apple would sound if she sang in a diff key!! Bloom - very cute, very *gag* demure Loud Bark - i really enjoy MP, i would never pan them even if you submitted one of their most boring songs breaking news - song of the ever Fly Girl - the fact that i even see negative reviews of this song is so funny, sample this sample that like this isnt ******* costco sit down and enjoy your cpg like everybody else Lose My Focus - this song was so beautifully crafted, if there were gods a few were definitely in the studio with her Summertime - another good song, FLO barely misses Black Eye - the chorus for this is so amazing and i love the production Quit - holy **** this song was like my obsession in high school i would listen to it and think i was better than everyone else bc no one else knew that ariana grande made a song with cashmere cat that was basically panned on arrival Stranger - what a relief that this millenial core song isnt awful, the production is bearable and i love the little gen x bells they liked to add on every song DAMN DANIEL - this song is good, the production on baby tate's verse is so perfect 1
