Stars is one of my fav demi songs. I would want to hear Selena's version.

I think since it was meant for Revival selena's version was probably slower

This basically happens all the time in the industry. Love Me Like You Do and Sweet Melody were also intended for Demi Lovato. Demi even recorded a demo for Sweet Melody.

The Middle by Zedd is one of the most extreme cases. It was recorded by Demi Lovato, Camila Cabello, Anne-Marie, Carly Rae Jepsen, Tove Lo, Bishop Briggs, Bebe Rexha, Lauren Jauregui, Daya, Charli XCX, Elle King, Elley Duhé and Lennon Stella but Maren Morris was the one who got it (Demi rejected it because she wanted to release Sorry Not Sorry instead).

Probably, half of the songs in the OP were also offered to other artists before Selena. :dies:

Britney Spears & Tinashe - Slumber Party, not really a reject but Britney was heavily inspired of Revival and was sharing a lot of creative team for Selena. Selena was the first option to join on this song before T but since she ended up going to rehab she never recorded the song

Huh?

Of course, this was just a compilation . Some of the songs in here were written on Selena's writing camps exclusively for her tho but some of them are the cases you mention. And the ones we don't know about too

It's believable for me because Charli XCX also said she was approached to be part of the song, but I'm gonna need to see those emails/receipts

TSR was shut down and removed everything from their twitter. Selena called them out and sent to jail a woman named Susan, which it's unknown if it's TSR or not but they haven't posted since that. Their user was @tsrarez

This is cool, but it's just making me want her to release an album even more. Just drop it and go. I wish she would give us all the tracks from SG2 she was recording right after Revival. Speaking of, do you guys think we'll get anything for Revival's 10th anniversary?

I think we will get two bonus tracks but I really hope it's not Wild Love or some of the leaked songs that were planned for Revival Re-Issue. I really hop we can listen to more of SG2 songs soon

You can check the public music repertoires by yourself. Selena was so generous of rejecting 2 of Demi's hits and giving her the role for Camp Rock

so apparently korean music association dropping a credit on their defunct website in 2021 saying sel was involved in GYHAB is accurate and apparently that same site said she rejected love me like you do….very accurate and believable source.

The same information is on GEMA music repertoire. Even though you are minimizing Komca because it's Corean, their sources come from UMG and what's listed there has to be approved by the performers and have appropriate paperwork, Ascap works the same way and they are all linked

Ugh, same! I hope it's tracks that haven't leaked. Praying it's not a bunch of remixes no one cares about. I just bought a new pair of headphones. When they get here, the first thing I'm listening to is SG's entire discography. :jonny5:

PS: I just added No Vacancy that was meant for Stars Dance

How was No Vacancy meant for Stars Dance if it was made 4 years later?

In the post, Ryan also admits that "No Vacancy" was originally intended for Selena Gomez: "So whats 'No Vacancy' and where did it come from? I had a series of sessions with my friends Tor and Mikkel (Stargate) in early January. The 2nd song we wrote was 'No Vacancy'. The session didn't start as a song for OneRepublic, we were trying to write a Gotye style song for Selena actually, but when I sang the chorus it just felt right.

According to this it was written in January of 2017 so probably that lost album in between Revival and Rare.

Bahari - "For What It's Worth" is a cover of a Buffalo Springfield song from the 60s though
