What else would be the point of her sharing snippets? She was probably sharing them to gauge reactions/interest.

I'm not surprised and I know it well. It's just that this moment is a complete different situation from Smile and even more Prism. After all what happened with WW I think she's probably more inclined to choose/release what public seems to enjoy more. I may be wrong, but we'll see.

I don't get the hate either. It's a good song with a good message. I think the hate might come from people wanting CAIL and the fact the Smile's music video is meh. I know she was pregnant + pandemic but she has reputation with music videos she needs to live up to. 

 

Small Talk tho... I will hate on that all day and night. It's cute a song, but putting that as single when so many other good options existed???? :psyduck:

The music video is definitely an... acquired taste BUT I'll die on the hill that the look she served in the first seconds of that music video is one of her best ever :WAP:

that's … definitely an opinion lol. I don't think it's THAT bad. lifetimes or gimme gimme is just so much better imo. but at the same time we didn't hear the whole song and the sample is very catchy so maybe she does know better. I just hope she's gonna announce lifetimes as the next (promo) single cause we have to move on from WW.

not sure what a promo single is anymore these days, as anything released can be called a single.  If it doesn't do anything, it's a flop.  If it does well, it's the next single.

HIH got a video and was never released. She did a number of short videos for the Smile tracks too. This is not concrete information.
