Quote

Trina "Tree" Paine is an American public relations executive. Since 2014, she has served as the publicist of the singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, who is her sole client. Media publications have described Paine as a shrewd publicist.

Why the **** would anyone make a TREE PAINE biopic?

It's based on Nightbitch, the 2021 novel by Rachel Yoder. Movie is named after the novel.

Why would she make a biopic of Taylor's PR?

I love Amy so I'll be watching this. I just hope it won't be terrible.

I think this will actually be a good watch, but I don't see this being the Oscar bait they're describing it as. I know the plot from the book and it typically wouldn't be something the Academy would push for a win. Even if she gives the best performance of her career.

It will certainly define her career as one marred with shite film choices.

This looks very dry, for a premise like this to work it need to have quirkiness of poor things or everything, everywhere all at once.

But I am afraid the movie will take itself too serious.

This can't be the same lady that gave us Arrival and Nocturnal Animals

This feels like something Jenna from 30 Rock would tell Liz she's auditioning for and ultimately lost out to Amy Adams. :rip:
