Which Diana Ross sampled song is better in your opinion and why? 


Is it A Public Affair by Jessica Simpson which samples Ain't No Mountain High Enough or the MC Lyte & Missy Elliott collab Cold Rock A Party which samples Upside Down?

Wait I just realized "A Public Affair" sampled "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and I even watched the Making the Video back when it premiered :psyduck:

Cold Rock A Party, MC Lyte :heart:

 

Cold Rock A Party was MC Lyte's last song to chart, it almost hit top 10. This was her sell out era tho :rip: but even then the bling raps ain't a bad way to sell out. I always found Diddy's sampling to be obnoxious and uncreative but Lyte's rapping elevates the song. A Public Affair is pleasant but bland.

Yes it's such a timeless bop, I do love what MC Lyte and Missy did given it was one of Missy's earlier collabs :clap3:

I've always thought it's Jessica Simpson's best song and I only found out it had the sample a few months ago, it's done beautifully.
