I am crying just a little because Shannen was absolutely one of my favorite actresses. She really knew how to command a role and make sure all eyes were on her once the camera was rolling. She was incredible in Chamred especially but also really great in Heathers as well.

 

The world has just lost another great acting talent. Either way I hope she is peacefully resting now and no longer in pain from disease or her trifling husband.

This ones hurts so much because it feels so personal. Shannen Doherty has been a part of my life for over 25 years. Through her work, she raised me and millions of other kids. 

 

Today, so many people are mourning her. For the presense she had in our lives and through the work she shined through. She was an amazing actress. Criminally underrated. She was such a force on the screen. And that force was evident in her personality as well. She was slammed and dragged through most of her career, which blacklisted her from having the career she actually deserved. But despite through all this, she won. Her greatest victory was that she stayed true to herself and what she believed in. She paved the way for other women in acting to demand what is rightfully theirs and to know their worth. She was a pioneer. 

In her late years, she had said on multiple occassions that she wanted to be remembered for something more than her acting success. And she accomplished that. She will be remembered for her courage, her tenacity and the way she so bravely battled cancer in the public eye, providing inspiration, support and understanding for people who were going through the same journey. 

I will forever be grateful for the joy she's given me for so many years. 

We'll always love you Shannen and we'll always remember you for your talent, strength and impact you've had on us.

She was fighting cancer for so long, it was sad to see. There's solace in the fact that she is no longer suffering. RIP to an icon
