She needs to stop with the political songs. Is like she learned nothing from the backlash of the witness era.
This era feels like a hybrid of Teenage Dream X Witness :giraffe:

The fact that she probably could have worked with Dan ***** who does Olivia's pop rock and brought out some nostalgic 2008 level Katy is just... but she goes back to Luke to give even more generic than generic 2010 club music :rip:

:coffee2:  Dan was the producer for Chappell's latest album so he was too busy working with her

She created the term flop?

The video is definitely a problem. Very dated.

And I feel like bad visuals have played such a major part in her decline, from Birthday and TIHWD to Bon Appetit and Swish Swish, that someone else should have taken the wheel in that department a long time ago.

Her obsession being "camp" when it literally has not done her any good for the last decade. Everything she does gives tacky now since PRISM where she upped the camp.

I am a KatyCat but this is the consequence of her own actions, I still cannot comprehend why would she thought going back to Luke was going to go well for her? Regardless of if you like the song or not, it was bound to cause an uproar working with him. I know people were like "but it is just the internet/atrl!!! The GP doesn't care!" Well the GP heard the song and said NO. So what now? You don't have the chronically online people nor the GP supporting you. Sigh. I just hope she learns from this and course corrects next era. (And releases Gimme Gimme or Lifetimes next if they weren't touched by Luke)

I've been seeing you all around the Katy-related threads and I love how you are taking this whole thing as a Katy stan. Self deprecation is a great quality in a human :clap3:

Dr. Luke aside, her brand of pop is just so painfully outdated. Everything about the song and video just screams 2013 and not in a good way.
