I'm afraid her album will receive a score less than 50 on MC.

...makes the reviews of Witness seem quaint.

Man, they did not hold back.

I like the song but even Stevie Wonder was seeing this being panned from miles away, she didn't have to return to Luke for a song like this but she's dumb enough to not learn from her mistakes :michael:

I think she might pop a vein if when this flops.

Just when you think that she cannot get more panned than her last release, she proves everyone wrong

I wish Taylor hadn't ever made up with Katy.

I miss the days when she was super petty, like returning to Spotify on Katy's album release day. This would've been a perfect day to bully Katy.

A write up from my local music paper today reads:

Remember when Katy Perry told her fellow kids to get ready to pop off? Well, the day has finally come for us to pop off to the corporate team-building exercise where our male co-workers are reminded that their non-male counterparts know where the HR office is.

As much as some hoped this upcoming Katy Perry era would break her flop curse, early teasers of "Woman's World" weren't promising. Unfortunately, the full version is even less redeeming, with any glimmer that the singer was going the club pop route smashed. The only thing matching Perry's robotic Mr. Tumnus get-up is how much the song feels like it was manufactured on an assembly line.

We should take this opportunity to celebrate, if only because this is a massive L for Dr. Luke. I wouldn't be the first to point out that a song about being a girl's girl being produced by the man who kept Kesha locked in a contract after she accused him of sexual assault is darkly ironic. Anyway, stream "JOYRIDE!"

The music video is about as deep as the surface-level Tumblr feminism "Woman's World" touts, with Perry appearing as Rosie the Riveter while drinking "Woman's whiskey." Considering her disposition against the elderly, does Perry know Rosie is from the '40s?
