PaloSanto Posted July 11 Posted July 11 artwork and booklet better be a collapse cause the Tension art had like 3 images total 1
808dream Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Pretty surprised to read comments of people who didn't appreciate Tension. This album is so good imho! You Still Get Me High and Vegas High are such good tracks, Tension is almost a little Pop-Bible. 4

And that left some people disappointed. The few visuals and singles teased a harder, edgier vibe than what most of the final product offered. PP & Tension were pretty edgy for a Kylie song in 2023 but half the album sounded like things she's done before too recently. I mean, sure Green Light & One More Time are bops but they sound too much like songs off of Disco. While stuff like HOTN, Just Imagine, STL are a sound she's explored to death. Dont get me wrong I love a huge Kylie emotopop anthem as much as the next person but only one of them to serve as a safe "slower" single choice was enough. Vegas High, YSGMH and TWDFL were different enough to Disco & Goldentho and if the new material is more on that direction and/or Padam's then I'm sure people will areciate them more. 2

Don't know about the others, but as for me, if there's something sure, is that Kyle's albums never disappoint. Guess she's one of the few artists whose albums i enjoy listening from start to finish. And every album is even better than the previous one. She never tries to follow trends but always gives her fans what they need from her. Both Disco and Tension are so good, played both to death. I have so much respect for her. She truly knows how to craft a pop album. 2
xluvxduffxmusicx Posted July 11 Posted July 11 This just seems so unneeded because they literally abandoned Tension on release week. If HOTN had gotten a solid November/December push and another single wrapped up the initial release in March or so, this would make more sense. But 11 months later?! Just make it a damn standalone EP with her other collabs. 1 1
Delirious Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Kylie has this huge problem ever since kiss me once where the singles are immaculate but the album tracks are just straight filler 1 3
RT Air Posted July 11 Posted July 11 I'm fairly certain the reason she's re-releasing Tension is because she's finally going on a world tour with it. Also, now she's got the chance to correct the musical imbalance on the album a bit and to add some tracks that will make Padam Padam and Tension fit in more nicely. In any case, if this means we're finally getting Heavenly Body on streaming, I'm already happy! 3

A shame they didn't release more singles. 2
Isaac Rivers Posted July 11 Posted July 11 I love Kylie, but I really dont go back to listen to Disco or Tension for the simple fact I don't like disco or disco inspired music at all. I wish she would make a dark electro pop album like blackout. When she said her album was going to be emotopop I was so excited, I was hoping for songs like The One or LAFS 1 1

charmed23 Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Tension the song is still the most refreshing innovative pop banger, until Joyride. Sans Padam Padam, the rest of the album is a bore for me. 1
campelo Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Move on, she killed this era by going to Vegas! Not even a music video for Vegas High 1
Burqa Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Tension was never a great album but I'm glad people are finally waking up. I kinda hope she takes some time after this to figure out what she wants to do next 1

KaledKalil Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Tension is still a great album, imo. There are some filler tracks but at least 6 or 7 of them are great. Can't say that I'm very excited for a special edition since I didn't care for any of the three tracks she released after the album, and it's most likely adding those two tracks we already have....

KaledKalil Posted July 11 Posted July 11 (edited) Honestly, the tracks that I would love for this repackage, and that matches the Tension vibe, are: Hello People Vegas Baby Tears of Joy Runnin Add those 3 collabs + Heavenly Body and Drum, and I'm satisfied. Hello is a must for sure. Edited July 11 by KaledKalil 1 1
NI-CK Posted July 11 Posted July 11 I wanna be excited for this but I kinda fear she won't include the bops that are Hello, Running, and Talk To My Body 1
PaloSanto Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Couple of thots: if its anything less thsn 5 new songs she can keep it. Wonder why they didnt drop the preorder yet. Maybe she'll announce it at her saturday gig? Im starting to worry cause you can see a pattern here that's a bit risky. Why will people buy a new album from her if in 10months it's gonna be reissued with more songs? 2
