Chiidish Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Wow so excited for the future of being cooked by our sabotaged climate and increasingly dangerous weather phenomena
ALΞX Posted July 10 Posted July 10 This entire nation needs to upgrade its transportation, electricity, roads etc.
Bethenny Frankel Posted July 12 Posted July 12 their governor handles this **** awful, remember when an ice storm did this a few years back?
MusicLoverDude Posted July 12 Posted July 12 Houston in general is just not a place you'd want to move to. Beryl wasn't even at its biggest peak when it hit Texas and it still caused a lot of damage. Not to mention, Hurricane Harvey's infamous flooding seven years ago as well as Tropical Storm Allison from 2001 and Tropical Storm Imelda in 2019. The city is just prone to damage and flooding. That being said, the power situation doesn't surprise me either given the 2021 Deep Freeze.

Tbh when I went to Texas last year I was amazed at how massive the houses were in the Dallas area. My friend's house I was staying at was in what seemed like a nice residential neighbourhood, is worth like $1.5M and is five bedrooms with a MASSIVE fenced off area all around it full of trees and grass, like the house practically had a small forest around it, pool, outdoor jacuzzi, huge garage, driveway with a gate, I'm used to living in hyper expensive cities like London or Vancouver where everyone lives in tiny apartments, I was just amazed that anyone could have that much space and for relatively little money. I'm sure the upkeep is crazy but here $1.5M buys you a two bedroom condo with a small balcony Edited July 12 by MatiRod
