Half his setlist would be 1D hits. He just doesn't have enough material yet. Maybe after his next album. Miley is the obvious best choice, imo. He has six top 10 hits and another two top 40 hits. That should be enough. Also maybe there is an off chance there is a 1D reunion on stage (minus Zayn probably) and they do one or two songs.
mrpartyrocker Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Why would they even consider Harry? He needs at least 2 more eras before he could be a choice. Damn even a show with timbaland/nelly furtado/ciara and missy elliott would be more interesting. Miley is the obvious choice. She has the catalogue, the presence and the history in her bag.

shark_heather Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Miley right now has the potential to have one the best superbowls ever Her charisma is on its peak and only to think Flowers , PITUSA , The Climb and Wrecking Ball live on Superbowl gives you chills ( imagine to consider Dolly as a guest ) This is a hardcore American event and i couldn't imagine of a better choice . But im not sure if she would do it . The pressure is real Harry on the other side ... 1
Jay07 Posted July 15 Posted July 15 (edited) I don't know any of his songs other than that watermelon one and I doubt anyone else does either. Plus isn't every other year a pop girl one? It's Miley's time. I think the only holdup could be if she refuses to do it like she refuses to do everything lse. Edited July 15 by Jay07
Sabrina Carpenter Posted July 16 Posted July 16 they should go with Harry… if they want a snoozefest 1
Slap Posted July 16 Posted July 16 JFC it better be Miley or the USA is officially panned after flop.

If any new artist who has 4-5 well known songs wants to perform whats wrong with that.. Better than wasting the opportunities on someone like maroon5 or usher whose performances were forgotten by the end of the game.

Their songs are actually still listened to today. Stop being an ageist! The halftime in 2020 and 2022 are the most watched! Just because a new artist has 4-5 well known songs that doesn't make them fit for superbowl. You can't tell me in comparison with Miley you'd prefer Harry, because if you do I rest my case and you made your point you have nothing to do with music and what the halftime is about
thedeathbymusic Posted July 16 Posted July 16 Wrecking Ball (intro) Flowers We Can't Stop See You Again Midnight Sky/Edge of Seventeen w/ Stevie Nicks Angels like You 7 Things Jolene/The Climb with Dolly Parton Party In the USA
FireFade Posted July 16 Posted July 16 Miley would actually put on a great show, her catalog is very impressive and she just has the perfect charisma
1989 Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Flowers Midnight Sky Angels Like You We Can't Stop Jolene w/ Dolly as the guest See You Again The Climb Wrecking Ball Party In The USA …would actually be perfect
RadioactiveLights Posted August 30 Posted August 30 Just reviving this thread to post my dream setlist: 1. The Best of Both Worlds (intro / a few lines "you get the limo out front...") 2. We Can't Stop 3. See You Again 4. Midnight Sky / 7 Things 5. The Climb / Wrecking Ball 6. Flowers 7. Party in the USA
Last Boy on Earth Posted August 30 Posted August 30 We want songs from her best project (She is Coming)
Rihinvention Posted August 30 Posted August 30 I've been saying for months that it will either be Miley or Ariana. The Super Bowl is quite consistent with going Female/Male/Female/Male (etc) for half-time performers. Last year was Rihanna. This year was Usher. Next year it will be a woman's world, and we'll be lucky to be watching it. Ariana has the benefit of it being the only Super Bowl performance that will be in between Wicked Part 1 & 2. Cynthia would be an amazing guest and they could do so much for Defying Gravity. That could kinda distract from Ariana's discography outside of Wicked though. lowk, Miley's Grammys performance kinda felt like an audition for it. If they're eyeing Miley and she's scheduled for a new album anyway, then she seems like the obvious choice.
Lion Posted August 30 Posted August 30 Miley should do it but let's not act like Harry Styles doesn't have the hits for a halftime show 😅
Avaisnoangel Posted August 30 Posted August 30 I would love Miley to do it but with her anxiety around performing recently I can't see her doing one of the biggest performances an artist can do
PoisonPill Posted August 30 Posted August 30 (edited) There's never been a more obvious choice than Miley. Everything is primed for her to deliver an epic, career defining halftime show. I'm getting chills just imagining the stadium of 100,000 belting out PITUSA, Wrecking Ball and Flowers. Edited August 30 by PoisonPill 1

Endless Summer Vacation was probably her best album to date, but Flowers was the only song that was a hit. It's the first time she's had a major hit since Wrecking Ball... 10 years prior. The cultural impact Miley's had from Hannah Montana and Bangerz definitely makes her worthy of doing a Super Bowl, but I'm not sure now is the right time. That's a wild take. She has more than enough hits and is one of the most known household names in the past 15 years. She has four universally known semi-classics (Flowers, PITUSA, Wrecking Ball, The Climb) plus a glut of other known hits (We Can't Stop, See You Again, Angels Like You, Midnight Sky, 7 Things, Used to be Young) 1
