Normani showed us what happens when you delay an anticipated release for years and years.

she fumbled the release so badly... like CB2 should've been released in 2021 and it would've been regarded as a huge success with WAP & Up in it :rip: everything was already achieved before the album was even released and then nothing :dies:

Very correct. If she was very concerned about not being able to OR wanting to replicate IOP success, she already did some of it by having 2 #1's (Up and Wap, like IOP had Bodak and I Like It). Then comes the FW sales, had CB2 been out sometime after/around WAP then would've probably easily outsold IOP. Had it come after Up, maybe close to IOP sales or over 150-200K. So the 2 #1s and a good sales week were already in the bag. Not every track might've gone platinum or broken all records IOP had, but it would've been decent, enjoyable for her fandom, and she could've then toured or moved on to CB3. Satisfactory in all ways. Label happy too.

She's an idiot for not releasing during WAP/UP, she was everywhere and ****** it up so badly.
