Kern Posted August 29 Posted August 29 Almost a week with this album, it's definitely my fave not just of this year but of recent years. I didn't expect them to beat Mercurial World but they really did and somehow created even more ambitious project. I love all of the songs from this album and I can listen to it from start to finish and the only other album I could think of that works the same for me is Ray of Light Can't wait to see them live in Berlin 2
no_better Posted August 29 Posted August 29 After a while with the album I decided that Watching T.V. is currently my favourite song. The glitchy epic theatrical outro is taking me outttt It's time to meet the monsters INSIDE YOUUUUU 6
no_better Posted August 29 Posted August 29 I hope the first 3 songs grow on me because I can't get into them but everything from Image onwards is 10/10 2

enchanted0 Posted August 30 Posted August 30 I know some part of this is probably just my algorhythm but it's lowkey getting some hype all over the social media 2

makeawish Posted August 30 Posted August 30 btw i think this is a great album, i listed mercurial would in my atrl top 20 fave albums ballot and this is better than mercurial world
atrlxcx Posted August 30 Posted August 30 I loveeed Mercuriel World and their mini mixes and other album but still havent listened to this yet (been away). Excited after all the hype and just got a ticket to their manchester date as I've always wanted to see them but never been able too. Excited for my first listen through of this today, the hype is real!! 1
Danixoxo Posted August 30 Posted August 30 this is amazing!! didn't really check them out before but i definitely will after this watching tv is my fav 1
NordicGuy Posted August 30 Posted August 30 I listened to Mercurial World once or twice and found it enjoyable but it just didn't win me over all the way. I wasn't really paying attention to this album at all but decided to check out a few tracks out of curiosity and once again most of it sounds nice yet somewhat forgettable but then I listened to Cry for me. Holy **** if that ain't one of the greatest pop songs I've ever heard. It's glorious! I'll surely give the whole album more chances but that song is already in my top 3 for the whole year as of right now. The way it keeps building is beyond unhinged. 2
Blue Jeans Posted August 31 Posted August 31 Wow this album is so intricate and timeless. The more I listen, the more I'm blown away. Plus their production is always perfect and just right. An instant timeless classic. Suddenly I'm a fly with an imaginal disc and I transformed into a new creature 4
Rigalo Posted August 31 Posted August 31 I've only heard (and love) Top Dog by them would I like this??? I've seen nothing but praise 1
HonourableVomit Posted August 31 Posted August 31 It's nice to see people turning to the light this time, all my preaching about Mercurial World fell on deaf ears back in 2022. 1
despy Posted August 31 Posted August 31 (edited) after all the good comments i've seen on this album on social media, i gave this a chance and my. goodness. this is per-fect i didn't expect this to be THIS good. so damn cohesive. absolutely loving the seamless transitions between songs, gave me some wtf moments during my first listen. i don't even want to pick favorites cause each track deserves equal love cuz like... the album is that good. i was so in trance because of the beautiful production so i couldn't pay attention the lyrics much but the girlie's voice was giving as well. this was my first MB alberm btw. easily an aoty material. Chemist Posted August 31 Posted August 31 Watching tv's key change is this year's best music moment 4
DirtyPony87 Posted August 31 Posted August 31 This is starting to turn into AOTY for me over the 3 B's (brat, Billie, Bey). Gets more incredible with every listen. I even like it more than Mercurial World now. My top 5 are: 1. Watching T.V. 2. Fear, Sex 3. Vampire in the Corner 4. Angel on a Satellite 5. Cry for Me. But that could change. I love ALL of the songs! And a 9 from Melon? We love to see it! Also, not the 60 from Sputnik. 💀 Why do they hate pop music so much? 3
