The three largest waves of non-European refugees in Europe over the last 20 years had little to do with religious conflict and were in itself largely products of the US meddling in Middle East and Northern Africa affairs and creating national instability. Do you think LESS refugees would be trying to get to Europe via rafts w/ more drone strikes?

To suggest the solution to the realities of refugees is more US meddling is silly and serves to only validate your own racism as reasonable and rationale (arguing the solution is to just take over countries and control migration that way, not combatting the kind of racism that makes French people hate non-white people, let alone people uprooted due to the meddle of European world powers). It is terribly ironic then that you fashion yourself as at odds w/ Le Pen. :rip:

How many illegal wars has French liberals co-signed in helping the US commit?

I don't agree with your belief in the causes of certain wars and the position of power the U.S. has on the global stage has got zero to do with skin colour. To claim otherwise is to deny the existence of every soldier of colour who serves in the U.S. army.

Considering the centrists typically hate the left just as much, if not more than they do the far right, it's a massive L for Macron either way.

The cherry on top of the cake would be Jean Marie Le Pen croaking today. I've been WAITING for that since he was hospitalized last year.

The far-right bigots losing is a massive L for western leftists who want every democratic country to fall to fascism so they can say "I told you so". :jonny:

Once again, the media overhyped the far right because they, like leftists, want them to win. Thank God rational people stepped forward and said NO!

Why would the left want the far right to win over the left? Be serious for one second. The only ones who would have been okay with Le Pen winning would have been Macron's dead-enders, who THANKFULLY weren't the majority of his coalition.

Have some humility for once. In no way is Melenchon winning something the left would have rejected in favor of Le Pen.

well all the experts are saying that he's the sole reason why Macron's party overperformed in the end. Macron better kiss his feet for being the face of his party and doing good in debates/interviews. the irony of it all is that he is forced to resign as "prime minister" despite saving his party from complete disaster.

Macron's party overperforming that much compared to initially projected is only thanks to leftists being way more hostile to Le Pen than the actual 'centrists'. They did remove every one of their candidates that was 3rd during 1st round unlike Ensemble !, and their electors also massively rejected every RN candidate. Same definitely cannot be said about the non-leftists electors:

Le Pen always leads the polls at some point and ends up losing in the end. It's a monotone in her career.

No one wants to go the north korea model lmfao. They just dont want the Nazi Germany model way

Also, not all left wingers are communists lmao. If anything, the election shows that French ppl are centrists to the core. They just dont want to be led by Extreme right wing trash while at the same time wanting to temper the extreme left— which benefitted pathetic centrists like Macron

I'm looking at the results and they're so confusing. Le Pen's party won the popular vote by 10% over each of the left wing parties, yet both got more seats than them? Can a French person explain this to me please :rip:
