Applause encompasses everything Gaga is known for. Well, let me correct myself.. everything we love about Gaga since this was the last time we didn't have to worry about real instrumentation other than the obscure piano ballad.

 

It's the perfect song period. Catchy, intelligent, camp af, completely unserious but also with a profound message that everyone can resonate with if you remove the multiple layers of bizareness.
