You don't know her circumstances, it's very possible that her ID didn't match her appearance at the time, which is a common issue and which might've prevented her from getting even a menial job. She's also neurodivergent, which complicates those things. And when you're at your lowest, you don't really do your research, you just cling to whatever thread is hanging for you. Anyway, she's expressed enough remorse over the matter, and she might be holding back on stuff like Preacher's Daughter b-sides or a new album precisely because she's trying to get out of her contract. I'm aware reposting something from UNICEF isn't the most effective method of spreading awareness and that more can be done. But quite frankly it is something, especially for a out of touch celeb, and more than most women of her stature are doing. Silence is worse than not saying anything at all. E.g Taylor, Beyoncé, Adele. 

 

That letter was signed by over a dozen other celebrities and I get the criticism for it that she gets. It is justified. But she has since shown her empathy by that post and various other posts she liked. She is not a zionist.
