Russia officially accepting Gazan refugees

Over 200 Palestinians displaced from Gaza have been given apartments in a newly built neighborhood of Grozny, the capital of Russia's Muslim-majority Chechen Republic.

According to the Chechen head, construction of the complex took about six months. During this time, 55 of the Palestinians found jobs, while their children and teenagers were placed in schools and universities. All of them have been studying Russian.

"Our immediate plans include the creation of a Palestinian community in the Chechen Republic so that refugees can preserve their national identity," Kadyrov added.

sometimes I hate that our world can't be simply black and white, but instead it's all possible shades of grey.

The extreme hypocrisy :deadbanana4:

But good for the refugees!  Safe housing and education is better than nothing, even if it's from bottom of the barrel Russia.

From one war to another :toofunny3: I know they have little choice but it's a shame they're being exploited like this.

Russia and Belarus (operating under Putin's control) have been accepting refugees in droves from war-torn places like Syria only to drop them off at the border of enemy countries with dogs chasing them and no way to turn around
