Mke1979 Posted July 5 Posted July 5 I would love a mad rave/fun house/carnival themed era from her, this of course being the perfect lead single! 4
Popular Post Child of the Moon Posted July 5 Popular Post Posted July 5 I'm always more active on here before something drops and once it does I just lurk in the shadows and observe everyone's reaction But let me just say that I've been bopping and streaming non-stop The replay value is insane... such a smart choice for a first/comeback single. Even if it doesn't pull huge numbers, it's already serving as a a reintroduction to a new audience and old $ fans. AND she's free!!!!!!! We made it y'all. 15
jamiko1230 Posted July 5 Posted July 5 (edited) Hmm...starts off pretty promising but doesn't really go anywhere esp once she 1st says 'Joy Ride!' Lyrically, vocals, melody, hooks etc...lands a bit flat. On that contrary w/ the production- does in 15 different directions lol. But it's not at all 'bad'. Just clunky & that's the part I like the most. Love Kesha and fact she attempted to go back to her golden early 2010s sound. This just isn't IT for me but very much hoping the masses end up hearing something different and HITS. Edited July 5 by jamiko1230

Jglj Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Sounds like something that would fit Animal back in 2010. I liked it overall, but it's missing something? I can't put my finger on it, maybe is the lack of a bridge or something? Not sure. 1
Mariya Takeuchi Posted July 5 Posted July 5 "joyride" "good time" "tonight" should be in a higher pitch and get higher as the song goes on but i love it 3
ChooseyLover Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Played it 28 times already and I'm trying to hold back. I love the production to the point I genuinely can't understand people who dislike it? Kesha's cheeky lyrics are not for everyone but I've always loved them so... I live for every single verse, can't spot the cringe whatsoever 6
$ebert Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Joyride went down to #4 in Mexico a couple of hours ago and now is back to #2 I really hope she hits #q 3
Popboi. Posted July 5 Posted July 5 430k is the Spotify debut, better than Eat the Acid (374k) and Fine Line (144k) 3
