chappell releasing music for 7 years and sabrina has like 5 albums out. i love all of them but this is bs and don't make sense… also she has 2 albums out, so how 3?

This literally makes no sense if the other 2 can be nominated :rip:

The screening committee can still deem Sabrina ineligible for other reasons but we'll see as we get closer

Sabrina having 5 (FIVE!) albums out and still being eligible :rip: A shitshow

She deserves reparations for Emails being ignored :jonnycat:

If they're going to be super inconsistent with the rules, they may as well just scrap the category and replace it with an Artist of the Year award.

being called new just bc they underperformed all this time. :rip:

It is also necessary to prescribe a clear criterion: as soon as an artist enters the top 10 of the Billboard, he is considered quite "new" to the industry.

Such nonsense.

Because her team have already submit her 3 times.

Sabrina is lucky she's only been twice.

They should honestly just delete that category or renamed to best new breakthrough act

Cause it's just embarrassing

Even if chappell or sabrina win it would be embarrassing for them since they've been around for a long time

That's bullshit, I don't think she was gonna win either way but you know what I mean.

Between this and then Greedy not being eligible bc they released a day before eligibility period is pure label mismanagement.

A certain someone is already writing those checks to the grammys for her "daughter". :clack:

They need to change the rules again, it makes 0 sense that artists who have been in the industry for years and have released music get a BNA nomination.

That was made up by a fan. It was eligible and simply didn't get enough votes.

Okay, so you have to release an album to be eligible for the category. Tate's debut was released in 2022, in 2023 she released her second album. So she couldn't get a nomination before 2022… she's at 2 max.

Truth Hurts by Lizzo was released in 2017 but got many grammy nom in 2020…

I feel like they really need to work on BNA rules, it's so random

Tate should get best new dancer and that's it

I think it's very odd that Anitta got in BNA in 2023 despite Versions of Me being her 6th full length album and debuting in like 2009-2010? Same goes with Victoria Monét who also dropped 6 projects prior to Jaguar II and debuting in like 2013? (and her breakthrough moment was like 1/10th of the success Sabrina has now)
