Popular Post tiagol88 Posted June 25 Popular Post Posted June 25 Quote Madonna has the highest-grossing worldwide tour of 2024 thus far, according to Pollstar's mid-year report, thanks to the success of her "Celebration Tour." With average ticket prices of $208.85, the pop icon had an average gross of $2,794,007 with 13,378 average tickets sold, making for a total of 856,247 in ticket sales across 34 reported shows out of 65 dates. Popular Post Oktober Knight Posted June 25 Popular Post Posted June 25 40 years in the business and she's still shattering records! And one show had 1.6m people attending. Only the most popular female artist in history, the biggest selling female artist of all time, the Queen of Pop! 17 2 1

Sannie Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Why isn't Taylor reporting her numbers? And if they aren't reporting the numbers, why is everyone running with the "$1b" number? 2 1
mrpartyrocker Posted June 25 Posted June 25 So we can say she's done between 350-400m with all the shows! And that's all arenas right? That's sooo legendary! Imagine the numbers she'd pull if she had a stadium tour but this puta refuses to make history 6
Popular Post UseYourIllusion2002 Posted June 25 Popular Post Posted June 25 65 years old, 42 years into her career, has been crucified by the media since the 80s, doesn't have to release bland and safe music to be popular, truly the QUEEN of pop. Between this, Guinness re-certifying her as the biggest selling female artist of all time, her breaking the record for the highest attended stand alone concert (~2 million people!), and The Immaculate Collection being certified by the RIAA as the highest selling compilation by a solo artist all in 2024, I never want to hear people doubt her status! The BIGGEST female artist of ALL TIME! The QUEEN OF POP! 18 1

Girl no one knows why she's not reporting nnn As for the 1B figure (which accounts for the 60 US, Mexico, and Argentina shows in 2023), that's based on a Pollstar estimated average ticket price of ~$270 and an estimated average attendance of ~64k/night (and a nightly gross of ~$17.3M). We don't have any gross figures from any specific shows, but given that most shows have their rough attendance figures reported in the local press (these shows ranging from 55k-73k), it seemingly holds up.

Mr. Mendes Posted June 25 Posted June 25 1 hour ago, Sannie said: Why isn't Taylor reporting her numbers? And if they aren't reporting the numbers, why is everyone running with the "$1b" number? She is not officially reporting them no, but various sources whose job it is to calculate tour box office can very easily make estimates based on the information provided. All reasonable outlets for this process have not reported an official number (as they don't know it) but have made it clear through their estimates that it has made at least $1 billion in revenue and this has been co-signed by the agencies in charge of the tour. There's a whole segment of the industry devoted to this specific type of thing. OT: Congrats to an absolute legend on another earth shaking tour. So honored to have gotten to see it twice. 4
mike_int Posted June 25 Posted June 25 (edited) There will never be more influential female artists than Madonna ! No matter if you like her or not, or if you want your fav to be the one, it is simply the truth. What she has achieved will never be conquered. You can have streams, you can have tours, you can have number 1 singles but you will never have impact on so many levels as Madonna did and be so relevant more than 40 years after the debut. C_Colstead Posted June 25 Posted June 25 Ugh, this LEGEND. There may be other artists who are more successful than M at this moment in time, but until the day she dies, she will always be at the very, very top of the music hierarchy. Quite literally, the GOAT. 1
