You're on ATRL everyday. You should be able to infer that when pop music gays talk about "second single fumbles" they're referring to the song or era's ability to be successful, and not solely a question of quality. 
 

If he just thought the song itself was bad, he'd say it sucked. He wouldn't need to highlight it's the worst choice that he's seen an artist make to follow up a first single.

While the song autoplays after any pop song (or big artist) I play on Spotify I definitely think it's fun and like the beat so big congrats to the Starbucks chanteuse.

This. I never liked her music but I liked Espresso so I though she was going to deliver with this song but for me it sounds as bland as her previous material.
